How to participate in ILHA On-line Competitions
✓ Select the on-line show you would like to participate in (Click HERE to see the calendar of upcoming shows)
✓ Identify the class(es) you would like to show in
✓ Video you and your horse(s) completing the pattern for your class during the time frame the show is OPEN
✓ Upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo
✓ Register for the show and enter the class by submitting your video link during the designated time frame (you cannot upload your video you must submit a link to your video that is uploaded to Vimeo or YouTube)
✓ Your entries will be judged and you will be able to view your scores and the show results once the entire show has been judged (usually within 48 hours from when the show closes).
✓ Ribbons will be awarded and mailed out for 1st , 2nd , and 3rd place
✓ Points will be awarded to ALL participants
ABOUT
ILHA On-line (Virtual) Competitions are an opportunity for ILHA members to compete on a more frequent basis, showcase their horse(s) and gain professional feedback – all from the arena, paddock, round pen or field of their choice.
ILHA On-line Competitions are open to ALL ILHA Members. All on-line classes are judged by one or more official ILHA judges depending on the class size and all competitors & horses that participate in any on-line competition will receive points that can be tracked for year-end placings and awards. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place competitors of each class will be mailed ribbons upon the completion of the show.
All you need to compete is:
✓ A horse(s)
✓ An arena, paddock, round pen, or field to complete the pattern
✓ 4 cones set up to ILHA specifications (see video here)
✓ An I-phone, Ipad, video camera, or some type of recording device
✓ Access to the internet to upload your video to YouTube, or Vimeo (or another
video hosting platform of your choosing)
✓ An active ILHA Membership (ILHA shows are only open to ILHA members)
✓ A small one-time admin fee per show and $20 per class to enter
