Training Level: At the Shoulder

(Training Level Classes are for horses and/or people at the beginning stages of Liberty. All patterns are for one show person and one horse working at Liberty in a round pen at the shoulder.)

(Training Level Liberty Classes are for horses and/or people at the beginning stages of Liberty. All patterns are for one show person and one horse working at Liberty in a round pen.)

Training Level: Bridleless

(Training Level Bridleless Classes are for all horses and/or people in the beginning stages of Bridleless riding. All patterns are for one show person and one horse. Horse may have bridle on in addition to a neck rope, but 1/2 point will be deducted each time the rider touches the reins.)

 

Training Level: Bridleless Patterns

Lead Line 

(Lead Line Classes consist of a pattern performed in the arena while the horse has a halter & lead line. All Lead Line classes are for one show person and one horse connected by a lead line.)

Liberty Horse

(Liberty Horse Classes are open to all horses and competitors. All Liberty Horse classes are for one show person and one horse working on the ground.)

Liberty from a Ridden Horse

(Liberty from a Ridden Horse Classes are open to all hoses and competitors. All Liberty from a Ridden Horse classes are for one show person working one liberty horse while riding another horse.)

Liberty Team (2+ horses)

(The Liberty Team Classes consist of a pattern performed with 2 or more horses at Liberty in the arena. All Liberty Team classes are for one show person and 2 or more horses working on the ground.)

Liberty from a Ridden Horse – Team Division (2+ horses)

(The Liberty from a Ridden Horse Team Division Classes consist of a pattern performed by a horse at Liberty in the arena while the competitor is riding a different horse. All Liberty from a Ridden Horse classes are for one show person working 2 or more horses while riding another horse.) 

 

Liberty from a Ridden Horse Team Division Patterns

Combined 

(Liberty Combined Classes are open to all horses and competitors. These classes consist of a pattern where the horse works both at Liberty and being ridden bridleless in the arena. All combined classes include both liberty from the ground and bareback & bridleless ridden work.)

Obstacles

(Obstacle Classes consist of an obstacle pattern completed in the arena. All Obstacle classes are for one show person and one horse.)

Bridleless

(Bridleless Classes consist of a ridden pattern performed in the arena while the hose is saddled and bridleless. All Bridleless classes are for one show person and one horse being ridden with a saddle and no bridle.)

Bareback & Bridleless

(Bareback and Bridleless Classes consist of a ridden pattern with the horse both bareback and bridleless. All Bareback & Bridleless classes are for one show person and one horse being ridden without a saddle or bridle.)

Freestyle

(All Freestyle Classes consist of 2 parts - a Compulsory Pattern & a Freestyle Performance. Each are performed separately and the scores combined for the overall Freestyle score.   The Compulsory Pattern can be any existing ILHA Pattern.

Minimal Movement

(*This class is only open to Seniors under the title Minimal Movement. These classes are open to all horses but restricted to competitors in the Senior Division)

(The Rearing class is for one person and one horse to compete at the rear.)

(The Race to the Mark Class is for one person and one horse, this is a timed event measuring the amount of time between when a horse leaves the gate and when it is standing on a mark in the arena.)
